Education Association-USA (IHEA-USA) announced a two-year agreement with Chaffin Communications, Inc. (CCi)) to improve and expand its marketing and communications programs.

IHEA-USA is an umbrella organization providing support and leadership to the hunter education programs conducted by the 50 state wildlife management agencies, under the auspices of the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA).   Its mission is “To continue the heritage of hunting worldwide by developing safe, responsible and knowledgeable hunters.”

CCi is a marketing and communications consulting agency in the outdoor industry that specializes in “Connecting Outdoor People, Products and Programs.”

“The hunter education program is not only a cornerstone of the hunting and shooting communities but is clearly a critical gateway to participating in these traditional American pastimes,” says IHEA-USA Executive Director Steve Hall.  “With all the competition today for our young folks' attention, it is important that we develop contemporary, effective tools and messages to reach them, as well as outreach programs to meet the needs of our partners in the outdoor industry. Chaffin Communications brings over 35 years of experience in the outdoor industry and is perfectly positioned to take the leadership role in this new endeavor. “

“We will be working to build a more contemporary, focused program that will strengthen IHEA-USA's ability to meet its mission,” says Chaffin Communications Owner, Chris Chaffin.  “We will be creating tools, vehicles and messages that will resonate with everyone involved and all interested parties who can benefit from a safer, more responsible and rewarding relationship with the outdoors through hunting and shooting, while also building a sound conservation ethic and respect for nature.”
