Icebreaker, the performance apparel brand owned by VF Corp., has promoted Josh Vaughan, its current sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to EMEA general manager.
Vaughan joined Icebreaker in 2012 and has held senior management positions in Australia and North America. He became director of Icebreaker’s sales in the EMEA region in January 2020. An industry veteran, Vaughan previously worked at Pacific Brands, Lacoste Footwear, Danone, and GlaxoSmithKline (Pfizer).
“Josh has been with Icebreaker for over a decade and has delivered outstanding results on every single continent where the brand operates,” said Jan Van Mossevelde, global president, Icebreaker. “He not only embodies what it means to be a natural adventurer, but he is also a great business leader and a true people champion. We are so pleased to have him leading our team in EMEA.”.
Vaughan’s appointment comes just over a year after Van Mossevelde, formerly Icebreaker’s head of Europe, was named global president of the brand, taking over from Greg Smith.
VF Corp. acquired Icebreaker in 2017 and distributed via 5,000 multibrand retailers across 50 countries.
VF Corp., owner of Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Eastpak, Napapijri, and Supreme, will publish the results of its last fiscal year, closed at the end of March, on May 19. The company is forecasting annual revenue of approximately $12 billion (€10.34 billion) of which $600 million was generated by Supreme, equivalent to a 28 percent increase over the previous year.
