Hyperice Inc., known for its recovery devices, announced its partnership with popular video gamer and NFL wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster. Through this partnership, Smith-Schuster and Hyperice seek to advance health and wellness within the eSports community, by delivering Hyperice tools, technology and methodology used by the world’s most elite athletes.
Hyperice recently made national headlines with the announcement of its New Sports initiative, “Move,” in partnership with Foundry IV, designed to deliver a global health and wellness program for competitive gaming. This program was developed to support the rigorous physical demands of eSports athletes, who have been known to play more than 50 hours a week. These physical demands have led to early retirement for gamers, sometimes as early as age 22.
Smith-Schuster, well-known for both his ] playmaking on the football field and his passion for gaming off the field, is seen by Hyperice as the ideal athlete to connect with young athletes and gamers. Smith-Schuster is a daily competitive gamer and looks to gaming as a way to relax his mind and body, and to recover from the physical and mental aspects of professional football.
