Hydro Flask, a start-up brand in Bend, OR that is marketing double-wall vaccum insulated stainless steel as an alternative to plastic for bottles and other containers, has hired Outside Media to manage public relations.

The Montana-based Outside Media team will manage public relations and social media campaigns and work closely with the Hydro Flask team in Bend, OR for strategic communications about events, business developments and products.

Hydro Flask designs re-usable containers for hot or cold liquids and this fall is expanding its double-wall vacuum insulation technology into other containers, such as growlers.

“It’s so great to see our company grow, and we’re thrilled that Outside Media will help contribute to our strength in the industry,” says Hydro Flask CEO Travis Rosbach. “We saw the Outside Media team using Hydro Flasks for all their outdoor adventures long before we started working with them, so we know these guys get what we do and how we are working to advance our brand.”

Outside Media is located in Columbia Falls, MT, near Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain and Flathead Lake. Outside Media specializes in speaking to media professionals about outdoor specific brands to shape a compelling story.

Bend, OR-based Steel Technology formed Hydro Flask in the summer of 2009 to create a beverage bottle that performs in every environment. The end result is a double wall vacuum insulated bottle that is BPA and toxin free. Using high-quality 18/8 stainless steel that does not need a liner which can leach toxins, the bottles keep hot liquids hot for at least 12 hours and cold liquids cold for over 24 hours.
