RunVermont said Hoka One One will become the “Official Shoe” of the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon and all RunVermont events.
“We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership with Hoka, they’ve helped a lot of runners to rediscover the joys of running”, commented Peter Delaney, executive director of RunVermont.
“Vermont City Marathon continues to be a first-class event and race weekend,” said Mike McManus, sports marketing manager at Hoka. “We’re pleased to solidify our partnership and level of support in 2017 and beyond.”
“Registrants for the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon have had several opportunities to win some free shoes and we’ll be extending those same opportunities to our other races throughout the calendar year,” said Delaney.
In addition, the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon Official Pace Team Leaders will be flying the Hoka colors and sporting the latest Hoka technology. All race participants will have the chance to slip on a pair of Hokas at the Sport and Fitness Expo, scheduled for May 26 & 27 at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington. Hoka will have representatives at both the Expo and at the event’s Post-race Festival on May 28.
The People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon is the largest sporting event in Vermont with over 8000 runners competing in the marathon and relay events. The course highlights the historic city streets as well as the majestic lake and mountain views of Burlington, VT. This event brings over three million dollars to Vermont annually.
