Sources at Hilco Consumer Capital informed SGB UPDATE that “The TAG Golf name was retired 15 minutes ago.  The platform company will be called: Pure Play Licensing.”

Hilco acquired the four brands (Tommy Armour, Ram, Teardrop and Zebra) and other assets late last week for an undisclosed amount. Sports Executive Weekly reported in this week's edition that Hilco's plan “is to create a licensed brand strategy and Tommy Armour and Ram are the first of many acquisitions that we are going to do on our new sports licensing platform.  Then, we will take these brands and we will license them to various different retailers around the world,” according to Hilco Consumer Capital CEO Jamie Salter.
