Hibbett Sporting Goods will replace Butler Manufacturing Co. in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, April 27, 2004. Butler Manufacturing is being acquired by S&P Global 1200 constituent BlueScope Steel Ltd. in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date. The deal is still pending shareholder approval.
