GT Golf Supplies, Inc., a wholesale golf distributor, reported acquiring the ProActive Sports Group, based in Canby, OR.

ProActive Sports Group distributes Clicgear and Rovic push carts, Tempercraft drinkware, golf accessories, trophies and awards to off-course golf retail outlets, on-course pro shops, sporting goods stores, and through its e-commerce platform. The acquisition will “expand GT’s position as a U.S. golf accessories distributor anchored by four distribution centers with a golf products sales force for retailers and golf courses, and an e-commerce offering,” said the company.

Kinzie Capital Partners is a backer of GT Golf.

“For over 30 years, we have been proud to provide high-quality golf accessories and products with the best service possible,” said Steve Skinner, co-owner with Jerry and Londa Corcoran since 1986. “We look forward to partnering with GT Golf and Kinzie to leverage the team’s operational experience and strong presence in the industry to better serve our customers. With continued support from Kinzie, we will be able to strategically increase GT Golf’s presence throughout the country, better serve our customers and expand our e-commerce capabilities.”

Brian Van De Veere, president of GT Golf, will assume the role of president of the combined entity and added, “ProActive brings exceptional product offerings and years of experience to our company. GT Golf is thrilled to welcome ProActive to our team.”

GT Golf has offices in South Carolina, Texas and California and will add ProActive’s facility in Oregon as a fourth distribution center to serve the Pacific Northwest.

“Kinzie is excited to support the continued growth of GT Golf as we look to become the leader of golf products distribution in the U.S.,” said Suzanne Yoon, founder and managing partner of Kinzie Capital Partners. “Acquiring ProActive will add exclusive proprietary products and key customers while materially increasing the overall size of the platform.”

Litwin Kach was the legal advisor to GT Golf Supplies, Inc. on the transaction.
