GSI Outdoors has hired Gamic Sports Inc. to manage sales and marketing functions of its outdoor cook and tableware and related accessories in Quebec and the Maritime provinces, including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

“Gamic Group’s vision for growth in Quebec and the Maritime Provinces aligns with our overall company global expansion objective to push new boundaries, literally and figuratively, with our brand,” said Tom Hathaway, director of sales for GSI Outdoors North America. “They understand the uniquely Canadian culture of these regions and will be able to very effectively relate to retailers and consumers. They join Yates Outdoor Sales in Canada, our strong team already in place in Ontario.”

GSI_OutdoorsBased in Montreal, Gamic is headed by industry veterans Ghislain (aka “G”) Leroux and Antoine Simpson, who have  nearly a decade of outdoor industry experience and are well versed in the retail trade and active participants in a variety of outdoor sports. The firm already represents such prestigious brands as Black Diamond, Nemo Equipment, Sterling Ropes, AKU Footwear, Sherpa Adventure Gear, OCA Skis, Norfolk Socks, C4 Belts and Avatech.
