GSI Commerce Inc. has signed a multiyear agreement with the National Football League (NFL) to manage and operate NFL Shop, which includes the league's e-commerce site located at www.NFLShop.com, and the NFL's official catalog. NFLShop.com launched on GSI Commerce's platform earlier this month.
Under terms of the agreement, GSI Commerce is providing technology, fulfillment, customer care, merchandising and marketing services and will oversee the NFL's direct-to-consumer sales of licensed NFL merchandise. GSI Commerce will also provide marketing services for the NFLShop.com including, paid search, affiliate marketing, advertising with comparison shopping engines and email marketing.
In addition, GSI Commerce will manage the production and mailing of the NFL Shop catalog and manage merchandise sales for NFL direct response television promotions on a national and regional basis.
