Sales of Gregory-branded packs grew 20.9 percent in the first  half ended June 30, or 17.6 percent in currency-neutral terms, Samsonite International S.A. reported.

The Hong Kong based luggage and pack giant reported Gregory sales reached $21.8 million during the period, compared with $18.0 million in the first half of 2015.

Sales of the  more  moderately price High Sierra brand, meanwhile, slipped 3.7 percent to $52.4 million, a decline of 2.7 percent in currency neutral terms.

Samsonite, which also owns the American Tourister brand, reported consolidated net sales grew 1.1 percent to a record $1.21 billion during the period, or 4.1 percent in currency-neutral terms. The company acquired High Sierra in July, 2012, Gregory in July 2014 and the premium luggage brand Tumi Aug. 1 of this year.
