Grassroots Outdoor Alliance announced a new digital marketing relationship with RootsRated. RootsRated will work to promote the Grassroots brand on Facebook, Twitter, and throughout the blogosphere.

RootsRated.com was founded in 2012 by Dawson Wheeler, Co-Owner of Rock/Creek, Horny Toad Activewear, Mark McKnight, and Fynn Glover. The web site provides exclusive content garnered from dozens of independent outdoor specialty retailers on the best hikes, climbs, rides, trail runs, paddling routes, events and other outdoor recreation options available in more than 30 U.S. markets. 

“Grassroots Retailers are already the hub of local knowledge for trails, crags, and put-ins in their respective markets,” said Fynn Glover, CEO of RootsRated. “We built RootsRated to give specialty retailers a way to capture, syndicate, share and constantly improve this knowledge, and most importantly, make it more readily available to break down barriers to participation in these sports. Now we’re also working to promote the Grassroots brand by telling the stories of these retailers across the digital landscape. We’re excited to get to work.”
