Graphite Design has appointed Erik Boysen as promotions manager.  Boysen, most recently sales and marketing manager for Sonartec Golf, will oversee Graphite Design’s staff of professional tour representatives and work directly with original equipment manufacturers to further expand Graphite Design’s usage by the world’s top golfers.
At Sonartec, Boysen managed more than 30 account managers, sales and tour representatives while supervising business with Golf Galaxy, Edwin Watts, The Golf Warehouse and Golfsmith. Prior to joining Sonartec in 2003, he was Senior Territory Sales Manager for putter manufacturer Never Compromise, and in 1996 he began his career with eyewear maker Bausch & Lomb.
“Erik Boysen has a record of outstanding achievement in the golf industry, and we’re proud to welcome him to our team,” says Kenzo Imamura, Director and President of Graphite Design. “His talent, passion, experience and reputation make him a perfect fit for this position as Graphite Design further grows its already strong professional tour presence and strengthens our industry-leading infrastructure.”
Adds Boysen: “Graphite Design’s status as golf’s premier shaft manufacturer makes this a truly exciting opportunity. I look forward to implementing new strategies to foster even greater relationships with professionals and OEMs while driving enhanced sales and brand recognition.”
Graphite Design has enjoyed worldwide success on the professional tours in 2007. Graphite Design is the graphite shaftmaker of choice for Hank Haney, coach to the world’s top-ranked player.
In 2006, Graphite Design shafts were played by 41 winners of professional tournaments worldwide.
