Gramicci continues to deepen its design team with the addition of Natalie Sichko, formerly with Perry Ellis International, as associate designer for women’s.

Sichko, 26,  reports to Sarah Mark, director of design for the outdoor lifestyle brand. “Natalie brings the perfect combination of apparel experience, a passion for the outdoors and the ability to work in a nimble and fast-growing environment,” said Mark.

Born and raised in Boulder, Colo., Sichko graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005 with a Fine Arts Degree. Upon graduation, she accepted a position as assistant designer for Perry Ellis International, based in Los Angeles. In that role, she was involved in small teams allowing her the opportunity to learn every facet of the design process.

Sichko, now a resident of Hollywood, brings that background to Gramicci, where she believes she can also meld her love of running (she runs four to five miles a day, when time permits) and snowboarding (which is a requirement in Boulder!) with creating fashions for Gramicci consumers.

“I love the ability to sit down and think about a customer, and how to speak to them through the creation of unique and fun pieces of clothing to wear – and how they could use that piece to portray their own individual style,” said Sichko. “I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to create designs for this iconic outdoor brand and to take on all the challenges that come my way.”

Her sentiments sum up Gramicci perfectly and company president Marty Weening immediately sensed Sichko could make an imprint as the company continues a rebuilding process enacted a few years ago.

“Natalie is ‘Gramicci-ready,’” he said. “Sometimes it is fate that the synergy, talent and spirit of a person finds a home that is the perfect fit, and this is one of those times. Her infectious, positive spirit, athleticism and love for the outdoors, along with her design eye, makes for a wonderful addition to the design team here at Gramicci.”
