Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. announced that it has opened its
first store in the Kansas City area.
“Kansas City is an excellent golf market, and we are very excited to
bring a whole new golf retail experience to town,” said Marty Hanaka,
president and chief executive officer of Golfsmith. “Our purpose is to
inspire golfers to play better and love life more, and this new store
will help golfers of all skill levels improve their games. Were very

The 28,000-square foot store store is located at 12020 Metcalf Avenue in
Overland Park. In addition to the driving range, the store features a
huge indoor putting green and “virtual reality” custom fitting studios
that help match golfers to the clubs that fit their swing.
A grand opening celebration is set for the weekend of April 30th, and
will give Kansas City golfers three days of prizes and giveaways.
