Golf Town, based in Toronto, is opening two “pop-up” stores in key Western Canadian markets, Kamloops, BC, and Lethbridge, AB.
,”There’s a massive interest in golf in Canada, and by offering ‘pop-up’ stores in these markets, Golf Town is offering access to the latest brands in apparel, shoes and equipment to golfers in these strong golf communities,” said Chad McKinnon, President of Golf Town. “We’re really excited about the opportunity these stores present in these markets and how they provide the opportunity for Golf Town to continue to expand as the home of golf in this country.”
The two stores are situated in temporary locations, offering a boutique-like feel in a 9,000 square foot store that also offers all of the quality brands and services Canadian consumers have come to expect from Golf Town, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The two stores both have their Grand Opening on Saturday, May 11 and will be open for the entire golf season offering golfers access to all the top equipment and clothing in golf.
“Everything you need to play the game can be found in these two stores,” said McKinnon. “If you need a club regripped, or accessories to make the game more enjoyable, you’ll find them in the stores in Kamloops and Lethbridge.”
Both stores will offer one fitting bay with Foresight Golf’s premier GCHawk launch monitor and GCQuad technology. The aesthetic of the stores will mirror those of Golf Town’s permanent locations, and the stores will offer the same range of brands found in the chain’s current 47 stores across Canada.
“Being able to get everything you need to enjoy the game—that’s the goal of these two stores,” said McKinnon. “We’re truly looking forward to being a part of the game in both Lethbridge and Kamloops communities.”
The Lethbridge store can be found at 3019 26th Avenue North and the Kamloops store within the Sahali Mall at 945 Columbia Street West.
Golf Town is the largest specialty golf retailer in Canada, operating 47 stores throughout the country.
