According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played were down 5.4 percent in January with the Eastern part of the country particularly impacted by weather.
Declines were seen in the Mid Atlantic region, 67.2 percent; New England, 63.5 percent; East North Central, 45.8 percent; South Atlantic, 21.4,percent; South Central, 20.2 percent; and West North Central, 9.7 percent.
Increases in rounds played were seen in the Pacific region, 26.2 percent, and Mountain, 23.6 percent.
