Golf rounds played in the U.S. jumped 45.3 percent for the month of March, according to Golf Datatech. For the first quarter, rounds are up 24.3 percent.

All regions showed growth in March. The highest growth was seen in East North Central, up 134.9 percent; followed by Mid-Atlantic, 53.4 percent; Pacific, 45.3 percent; South Central, 41.7 percent; New England, 40.2 percent; West North Central, 34.5 percent; Mountain, 29.4 percent; and South Atlantic, 20.6 percent.

Golf play recovered strongly following the reopening of golf courses across the country starting in May 2020. Golf rounds played grew 13.9 percent in total for 2020.
