U.S. golf rounds played were down 3.9 percent in July 2021 against a surge in play in the year-ago period due to the pandemic, according to Golf Datatech.

For the year-to-date period, rounds played are ahead 16.1 percent.

By region for July 2021 versus July 2020, the largest decline was seen in New England, down 9.1 percent; followed by the Mid-Atlantic, 6.7 percent; South Central, 5.6 percent; South Atlantic, 3.9 percent; West North Central, 3.0 percent; Pacific, 1.3 percent; and Mountain, also 1.3 percent.
