Gallaz brands. Marckx’s appointment is effective immediately.

As Vice President of Global Marketing, Marckx will lead worldwide marketing, event, and promotion
development activities for the company. Marckx has over 18 years of experience in all facets of the action
sports industry including entertainment, media, and creative. His background and experience combined
with extensive knowledge in all aspects of marketing will be utilized to further leverage Globe’s
positioning and drive expansion into new markets solidifying Globe’s position as a leading action sports
based lifestyle brand. Marckx will be working closely with Globe North American president Gary

brands.

Marckx also brings to the position something that is fundamental to Globe, an intense love of action
sports, and an understanding of the industry and youth culture as a former athlete and musician.
“We are extremely pleased that Michael is joining Globe. His industry experience and marketing
background make him an excellent addition to our team,” said Gary Valentine, President of Globe North
America.

Prior to joining Globe, Marckx served as Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Ocean Pacific
Apparel Group in Irvine, where he was credited with resurrecting the Op brand and driving its rapid
growth, as well as launching the fashion-forward Seven2 brand. Marckx’s previous roles include Vice
President of Marketing and Entertainment for Broadband Interactive Group (Bluetorch). He was also a
marketing director and publisher for Primedia. Marckx currently serves on the board of directors for the

“We are very fortunate to have someone with Michael’s vast experience take over this important position
at Globe. His expertise will be valuable as we continue to develop and reinforce our brands as a global
leader. He has a great understanding of Globe, and is very committed to continuing to drive the company
forward. I am very confident in his ability to make significant contributions to the brands and our
business globally,” said Matt Hill, CEO of Globe International Limited.

“I’ve long admired Matt, Gary, and Globe as a leading action sports brand. With all of the great things
going on right now for the company worldwide, I’m stoked to be involved,” says Marckx. “The
company’s new apparel push, its acquisition of the WCT in Fiji, its signing of the world’s best riders to
full head-to-toe brand sponsorships, and the expansion of the Gallaz brand, make this an exciting time.
Plus, I get to move back to the town where I grew up.”
