Gerber Legendary Blades announced the promotion of Corey Maynard to the position of vice president of marketing. Maynard assumes the role immediately and will continue to be responsible for leading the Category Management and Brand Marketing teams and corresponding execution-related activities at Gerber.

“Corey brings a valued perspective which has contributed to the growth of our company,” said Jason Landmark, Gerber President. “He has been a key contributor in numerous areas that have resulted in successes for Gerber, including the re-launch of our brand, logo and website.  He has also provided inspiration for new and innovative marketing campaigns and co-branding opportunities.”

Maynard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Lewis and Clark College and an MBA from the Lundquist School of Business at University of Oregon. He joined Gerber in 2002 as an Associate Product Manager and was quickly promoted to a Product Manager role and then to Category Manager. After a brief period away from Gerber, he returned in the beginning of 2008 as the Director of Marketing before ascending to his current position.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with such a storied brand and equally amazing team of people,” said Maynard. “Gerber has some tremendous momentum going but I truly feel it’s only the tip of the iceberg and look forward to helping the brand meet its full potential.”
