Gear Aid has named Tanner Merrill as its new supply chain planning manager. Merrill comes to Gear Aid with more than a decade of experience in the outdoor industry.
Recently he worked in dealer services, managed key accounts, and handled demand planning for another Washington-based manufacturer Cascade Designs.
As the supply chain planning manager, Merrill will be managing and directing all aspects of the inventory planning and production scheduling process for Gear Aid. He will lead the daily operations of the supply chain team and work across multiple departments to ensure production forecasts align with the company’s sales, inventory, and order fulfillment objectives.
During his time at Cascade Designs, Merrill supported strides in inventory reduction, improved forecasting practices, and developed better data management overall. Prior to Cascade Designs, Merrill worked in sales at ExOfficio for five years.
“It’s an honor to join the Gear Aid family,” Merrill said. “I hope to build upon the foundations that currently exist and help drive the future success of the company. Whether needing to patch tears in my jacket or repair my waders, Gear Aid products are always there when I need them.”
“Tanner is going to be a great addition to our growing team here at Gear Aid. He understands the operational needs of our largest key accounts, and takes a data driven approach to complex business challenges,” said Clark Campbell, president. “We are fortunate have a person with Tanner’s industry experience and systems orientation leading the supply chain team at Gear Aid.”
