The NRA Foundation’s Friends of NRA program reports that it has drawn 2.5 million attendees to their events and grossed more than $400 million since the program’s inception in 1992.

“Reaching these goals would not have been possible without all the hard work of everyone involved in Friends of NRA,” said Kyle Weaver, Managing Director of Field Operations. “The support we receive from our volunteers and attendees provides grants for thousands of recipients across the United States. We thank everyone who contributed, donated and volunteered their time these past 19 years and for helping make Friends of NRA into what it is today.”

Net proceeds from funds raised at Friends of NRA events are equally divided between local and national projects. Local monies are distributed by State Fund Committees based on grant applications while The NRA Foundation funds projects on a national scope.

“It is through the money raised by Friends of NRA that we have supported worthy projects including youth education, firearm training, range development, and conservation efforts across the country for nearly two decades,” said John DaSilva, National Manager of Events and Marketing. “Protecting our shooting heritage and traditions for future generations is a goal we encourage everyone to support.”
