Michael J. Rees has been named to the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer of Jarden Outdoor Solutions (JOS).


In his role, Rees will be responsible for the strategic leadership and financial consolidation of all the global businesses within the Jarden Outdoor Solutions Division. Jarden Outdoor Solutions is a segment of Jarden Corporation, a leading provider of niche consumer products used in and around the home, headquartered in Rye, N.Y.

Rees joins Jarden after 16 years with the VF Corporation, where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. Highlights of his career at VF included being the CFO of the entire European Outdoor portfolio; and most recently, CFO of the Reef and Eagle Creek lifestyle acquisitions headquartered in California.


After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa., with degrees from the industrial and business schools, Rees spent his career in the Finance function within successful consumer goods companies. Rees has a proven track record of helping his organizations deliver both dynamic growth and improved organizational capabilities.


Rees’ background includes numerous merger and acquisition integrations, financial system/IT implementations, and business-unit growth experiences that will be invaluable in our next phase of building JOS.
