Ken Brown, former owner of Corbett’s Ski and SnowBoards and Corbett's Source for Sports in Oakville, Ontario, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Buffalo, N.Y. He was 81.

Brown served on the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) Board of Directors from 1990-92 and was chairman of Sports Distributors of Canada, Ltd. Away from the workplace, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and skiing.
                                
“All who knew Ken benefited from his friendship,” said NSGA President & CEO Matt Carlson. “We are saddened by his passing and extend our condolences to his family.”

A celebration of Ken's life will be planned in Ellicottville, N.Y., where he resided, in a few weeks. He is survived by his wife MJ Brown, children Kim (husband Chris Tymstra), Moose and Vicky Brown and grandchildren Isabella, Gwendolyn, Jenna, Julia and Jayme. He was preceded by his first wife, Betty.
