Footbalance, an innovator in custom footbed technology, is partnering with Ontario-based rep group Bell Sports Ltd. to cover the Canadian territory. Owner Glenn Mackey purchased the company in 1999. Footbalance will join a solid line up of brands represented by Bell Sports including SnowAngel, Hi-Tec, Fox River and Life is good.

“Bell Sports has the expertise and skills required to penetrate key retail accounts and grow the Footbalance concept throughout the province,” says Footbalance Canadian Director of Sales Christopher Griffin. “Bell Sports has more than 40 years of combined experience in the Canadian ski and outdoor specialty market, and we believe their strategic relationships combined with their expertise in developing new products concepts will elevate awareness of Footbalance in the Ontario market.”

“On the footwear side we work with running accounts, ski accounts, outdoor and just pure footwear accounts. For this reason Footbalance will be a great fit as these are the stores where we will concentrate on placing Foot Balance to start,” says Owner of Bell Sports Glenn Mackay. “Footbalance also provides us the opportunity to bring a unique and different product with a great business approach to dealers. Especially with the poor winter we are having dealers are looking for products that are less weather sensitive and have a focus on making money for the dealer.”

Bell Sports will sell to specialty retail shops that will mold the footbeds in fewer than ten minutes and use the Footbalance Recommendation System (FRS) software to provide a free overview of individual foot mechanics.

With its North American Headquarters in San Diego, CA Footbalance was developed by a Finnish physiotherapist specializing in podiatric medicine. The system enables the rapid production of fully customized footbeds at retail stores in less than ten minutes.
