Foot Locker Inc. launched its “February Brings the Best” campaign with “Stats,” the brand’s newest spot featuring NBA point guard Russell Westbrook. Foot Locker’s annual February campaign highlights the latest product and gear releases hitting stores, including the Air Jordan XXXI featured in this year’s campaign.

In Foot Locker’s latest spot, Westbrook bumps into a fan in a hotel lounge while wearing Jordan gear. After sharing that his gear is from Foot Locker, Westbrook is complimented on his impressive streak of triple-doubles on the court. Westbrook tells the fan it’s really all about getting wins, but goes on to rattle off his unique stats. Westbrook takes it too far when he names himself “the all-time greatest Russell in league history.” Hall of Famer Bill Russell makes a cameo, peering over his newspaper to remind Westbrook that he’s the greatest “Russell.”

“February truly does bring the best at Foot Locker, and who better to celebrate that with than one of the brightest stars in the NBA,” said Stacy Cunningham, vice president of marketing. “As Russell continues to be a leader on the court, we knew he was the perfect addition to help us launch this year’s campaign.”

The spot, created by worldwide agency BBDO, launches digitally today and will make its broadcast debut on February 9 on TNT. The campaign will continue through NBA All-Star with spots in State Farm All-Star Saturday Night and the 66th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 19.
