Flexia Pilates released its AI-enabled Pilates Reformer. It provides real-time feedback and tracks progress to make personalized recommendations to help users reach their fitness goals. The Reformer offers a dedicated virtual studio that allows users to stream certified instructor-led Pilates classes on demand.
The professional-grade, easy-to-adjust smart Reformer uses goals and movements to improve form and increase whole-body strength through low-impact Pilates training.
Flexia’s patent-pending AI-enabled sensor technology makes live adjustments, tracks progress and makes personal recommendations with its proprietary Movement Quality Score (MQS). Offering a long and wide carriage system and an adjustable, four-position shoulder and footrest system, Flexia fits all body types. The Reformer also forgoes a built-in tablet or fixed screen. Its industrial-grade pulley, rope, loops, and wheel system make movement smooth and silent. Flexia is a wood Reformer that can stand on one end for easy storage.
Flexia’s Online Studio synchronizes the Reformer with fitness classes for a monthly fee, where members have unlimited access to on-demand and live classes that offer foundational, intermediate and advanced instruction. Accessible from any smart device, the studio also provides mat Pilates, breathwork classes and guided meditation.
“We believe that mindful movement is integral to creating and sustaining an active lifestyle,” said Founder, CEO, and certified Pilates instructor, Kaleen Canevari. “Our goal for Flexia is to eliminate the common barriers of Pilates with our first-of-its-kind Reformer and connected studio, utilizing the most innovative technology on the market to create a truly interactive community. It’s important our Pilates experiences give consumers the confidence and guidance to feel stronger, healthier and a part of something larger than themselves, a part of the Flexia family.”
“Our smart Reformer offers the first intelligent at-home Pilates workout to help build strength and mobility without the harsh impact,” said co-founder and CCO CJ Kelly. “When you think of Pilates, we want you to think of Flexia and how our connected experience is made for all body types to enjoy the benefits of low-impact exercises and redefine the limitations of what one’s mind and body can do. By adding AI to the Reformer, we’re able to provide the Pilates community with measurable results and the motivation to continue pursuing their fitness goals.”
