Fleet Feet, Inc. announced 20.9% revenue growth during the third quarter of 2004 as compared to the same period in 2003, and posted 14.3% growth in revenue for comparative store sales. Year-to-date overall sales increased 19.9%, with year-to-date comparative stores sales up 13.3%.

“Fleet Feet’s results in the third quarter and for 2004 overall are a direct reflection of consumers’ desire for consistently outstanding customer service,” said Fleet Feet President, Jeff Phillips. “While our customers have unlimited options for purchasing product, we continue to be successful because we provide a positive customer experience day in and day out. Clearly, we are meeting, even exceeding, our customers’ expectations.”

Five new Fleet Feet stores have opened for business since the end of the first quarter. Fleet Feet now has a substantial presence in Southern California with the opening of stores in Laguna Niguel and Santa Monica. Stores also opened in Vacaville, California; Rochester, New York; and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

“To ensure success for our new stores, we have “packaged” our breadth and depth of experience in fitting running shoes into our Personal FIT Process,” explains Phillips. “This thorough foot and gait analysis raises the bar of customer service even higher and enables us to have consistency across the Fleet Feet organization.”
