Fivestar Training, together with its legendary affiliate Fivestar Basketball brand, launched its first mobile training platform with internationally renowned soccer superstars Wayne Rooney and Alex Morgan. The Fivestar Soccer Training Program will be available as an iPhone app and will provide aspiring youth players with world-class training from the top soccer stars via instructional videos, games and interactive simulations. Fivestar will release similar products in basketball and lacrosse in the near future.
Through Fivestar Soccer Training, Fivestar is translating its storied brand of basketball skills development into a digital athletic training brand accessible to young athletes around the world. Through the Fivestar Soccer Training program, youth soccer players can learn from the same sports education brand that Michael Jordan credits with “chang[ing] his life.”
The renowned Fivestar Basketball Camp is widely acclaimed as the leader in basketball education. Over the 40-plus year history of Fivestar Basketball, many of the greatest NBA players from Julius Erving to Kevin Durant to LeBron James have honed their skills through Fivestar's elite coaching and comprehensive training curriculum. Tapping into this extensive legacy of athletic inspiration and sports education, Fivestar Training will assist young soccer players in developing their skill set and reaching their potential.

The programs are designed to help players of all ages and skill levels improve their technique and increase overall fitness levels. Each program consists of 5 full 40-60 minute workouts and is supported by two of the world's greatest players: Wayne Rooney and Alex Morgan. The Fivestar Soccer Training Programs were created by Dr. Javier Perez. He is one of the few European coaches holding the UEFA PRO license and a PhD in Exercise Physiology and he holds qualifications from the Spanish and English FA. A native of Spain, Dr. Perez developed his expertise as a coach in Real Madrid's youth system and he is now the head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team.
Available in a download-to-own model, players can follow step-by-step guidelines from Rooney and Morgan on their mobile devices and record their performance along the way, grading their accomplishments and sharing their progress. Players can record, save and track progress for each workout and earn points and rewards for their achievements, including once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for one-on-one training sessions with Wayne and Alex.
The Fivestar Soccer Training Program also comes with interactive “1 v 1 Challenges,” allowing users to compete in one-on-one video contests against Rooney or Morgan. Players watch the star athlete demonstrate a drill, trick or signature move, then record themselves side-by-side with the pros and showcase their skills to the world by sharing their videos on social media platforms.
