Fischer Sports announced a partnership with Teton Gravity Research (TGR). Fischer will sponsor TGR’s Grom Contest, a heated competition and well sought-after title that seeks to find the best of the best in skiing youth.
The grand prize includes one-year sponsorships from Fischer Skis and the chance to film with TGR. Additionally, the winner’s edit will be shown at all the 2017 global winter film tour stops, he/she will score a trip to a 2018 Freeride World Tour competition and a week at the famed Windells camp.
In addition to the grand prize, those under-18 entering this contest running until July 31st, can submit an edit on TGR’s community page, the Stash, and share a teaser on Instagram to go in for weekly and monthly prize packages from fellow partner brands. Prize winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, including TGR cinematographers and top athletes like Jeremy Jones, Angel Collinson, Ian McIntosh and Sammy Luebke.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with TGR,” explained Fischer Sports CEO, Ryan Leach. “Their independent spirit is a perfect match to our independently owned brand. TGR serves up amazing content and it’s a chance for us to spread the Fischer family message.”
TGR’s CEO and co-founder, Todd Jones talked up the aspirational nature of the contest, “With so many talented young athletes out there today, we want to give those athletes the chance to be discovered,” says. “The Fischer Supported Grom Contest is a unique way to connect with our younger fans and also allows us to continue to fuel the passion that led us to start TGR in the beginning. In addition to celebrating today’s top athletes, TGR is dedicated to lifting up and giving jump-starts to the athletes of tomorrow.”
