Fischer VP Sales and Marketing Peter Ashley, has announced Chris Hall as director of Nordic Racing. Hall will take over the position recently vacated by Eli Brown's departure to the University of Utah.

Hall has an extensive background in ski selection and race service, having worked for the US Nordic Team the past six years. He led the US service team at the 2005 and 2003 World Championships, along with over 50 World Cup events in the last three years. In his position at the U.S Ski Team, Hall developed strong relationships with Fischer's International World Cup service team.

Fischer will work closely with the US Nordic Team to ensure a smooth transition over the coming months. During this time, Hall will continue to support the team in several World Cup races and at the Olympics this season.

“It is really great that Chris will join the Fischer team this winter,” said Ashley. “There is no one better qualified to take care of our FSx Elite Team and Fischer Select Athletes.”

From his home in Sun Valley, Hall commented about his new position: “I am very excited to join Fischer and look forward to playing a positive role in the Nordic racing community. As the premier nordic racing brand in the world, Fischer sets the standards for racing excellence. With the FSx Elite Team and Fischer Select Athletes, I believe Fischer will continue to be the industry leader and will promote success for US athletes at all levels of competition.” Hall continued, “I look forward to working with Fischer's race dealers and being the technical voice of Fischer racing.”

Hall's background also includes an assistant coaching position at Sun Valley SEF, as well as a BA degree from University of Colorado, Boulder. Hall will continue to reside in Sun Valley.
