Fila is facing a lawsuit of the claims for its Fila Body Toning System work-out clothing, according to consumeraffairs.com.

The plaintiff, Bertha Castaneda, said she purchased Fila work-out clothing after seeing the company’s advertisements, was disappointed with the results and would not have made the purchase had she known that the company’s claims were false, the suit alleges.

Fila’s marketing claims that its layering of fabric in the construction of the clothes increase “muscle effort by 50 percent.” The compression fabric promises to provide 41 percent more support for muscles, which helps increase “blood flow and oxygenation,” which in turns helps  muscles work more efficiently.
