Fila has launched a new microsite, filais.com, standing for “Fila Is” and serving as a dedicated resource supporting sneaker culture. The website will feature a series of interviews with streetwear legends and emerging street artists.

New content initiatives featured on the website include RISE of the Independents video series. Fila traveled across the country this summer and caught up with the leading independent sneaker boutiques across the country to feature the personalities and history behind the shops. The first entry is from streetwear legend, Frank Cooke of Wish ATL.

The second content initiative is FILA Profiles, a series of interviews with young, talented, creative people who fit into the FILA lifestyle. The first subject is street artist, Jay Shells.

The site also features a Community blog, and well as a product section showing multiple shoe angles and links to buy.

The site is accessible at filais.com.

The microsite comes as Fila is re-releasing the sneaker Grant Hill wore as a rookie in the 1994-1995 season. Hill recently announced his retirement.
