FIFA has appointed Global Brands Group as its exclusive store operator for the FIFA Stores and exclusive licensing representative worldwide for 2007-2014. In addition, Global Brands Group will act as the on-site concessionaire for all FIFA events throughout this eight-year term.

Global Brands will analyse core markets for establishing and implementing the official FIFA store concept, which encompasses the official FIFA World Cup™ retail stores, retail corners and store-in-stores with a view to both boosting awareness of the FIFA brand throughout the world and to supporting FIFA's mission to broaden the fan base of football even further.

Global Brands, which has offices in Europe and Asia, will also take on the role of FIFA's store operator for dedicated 2006 FIFA World Cup™ stores/corners in all markets except Europe and Japan.

“This venture is a thrilling prospect for FIFA and we are confident that Global Brands' expertise in the licensing and retail industry will ensure that FIFA merchandise reaches as many fans as possible in every corner of the world through this unique store concept and development of a FIFA-licensed product range,” said FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter.

“Global Brands Group is delighted to enter into this substantial relationship with FIFA. We are convinced of the immense opportunity to strengthen and enhance FIFA's powerful brand,” said Jonathan Sieff, Global Brands Group's Chairman.
