Fieldsheer, the maker of temperature-controlled apparel, appointed Karin Trevino as director of products, leading the team responsible for creating and designing its Mobile Warming and Mobile Cooling lines and project management/development of the brand’s Mobile Warming smartphone app.

Trevino’s career spans almost 25 years, working across multiple business functions in the apparel, swimwear and furniture industries as a designer, co-owner, consultant, and operator. As a co-owner, her products reportedly were featured in “high-profile media outlets, and she secured product contracts with Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, W Hotel, Walmart, and Zappos.”

Before Fieldsheer, Trevino, who will work out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Carlsbad, CA, worked as a product development manager for The Vertical Collective, “the development and manufacturing platform behind brands, retailers and disruptive innovators.”

Mark Gandy, president and CEO of Fieldsheer, said, “Karin’s background in apparel and her experience building product for well-known retailers like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus point to a focus on design and quality,” he said. “Companies on that level demand the highest quality possible, and Karin has always delivered. We’re confident she will be able to bring that same focus to Fieldsheer’s product lines.”

Trevino said of the company, “Fieldsheer’s products, especially its Mobile Warming line, are built on a technology platform that leads the industry,” she said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to push that innovation to new heights. I’m also looking forward to creating temperature-controlled apparel that is as stylish as it is functional.”
