Fanatics, Inc. hired Nick Eshkenazi as the company’s chief information officer.

Eshkenazi will be responsible for a broad range of internal and external technology capabilities across Fanatics’ extensive platform of consumer and partner eCommerce businesses, including customer care and fulfillment operations as well as infrastructure, enterprise and information security solutions.

Reporting directly to Doug Mack, CEO of Fanatics, Eshkenazi will be based in Jacksonville, Fla., where the company has its enterprise solutions and operations centers of excellence to support all functions of the business. Eshkenazi will partner with Matt Madrigal, the company’s Chief Technology and Product Officer, in areas such as growth, operational excellence and innovation across the company.

“Our investments in the latest information technology will fuel the continued growth and successful scaling of our business – benefiting our employees, customers and partners,” said Mack. “In this light, we are extremely excited to have Nick join us as he brings a unique combination of IT expertise and business acumen, adding to our team of world-class executives and allowing us to further separate ourselves as the market leader.”

Eshkenazi comes to Fanatics with more than 25 years in the technology industry across retail, wholesale, supply chain, manufacturing and financial services. Most recently, he served as the chief information officer for SanMar Corporation where he pioneered and successfully launched a comprehensive set of innovative eCommerce omni-channel customer solutions across web, mobile and B2B channels, contributing to significant topline revenue growth. Under his technology leadership, SanMar successfully transformed into a reliable and fully redundant infrastructure stack and introduced a new set of CRM, WMS (warehouse management systems) and ESB (enterprise services bus) solutions, which delivered operational efficiencies worth millions of dollars. Prior to SanMar, Eshkenazi held senior technology positions at PACAAR Inc., USAA and JPMorganChase.

“It is extremely exciting to join the Fanatics team and help shape the future of this eCommerce powerhouse,” added Eshkenazi. “I look forward to leveraging technology to best serve our ecosystem of fans, customers and partners by creating solutions through purposeful innovation and building upon the company’s great history of success.”
