Exxel Outdoors has hired John Tullock as its eastern regional sales manager. Tullock reports directly to Exxel’s National Sales Director Tory Upham.


“John is a fantastic fit to head up Exxel Outdoors’ eastern states sales development,” said CEO Harry  Kazazian. “He brings strong buyer relationships and instinctively understands the customers who are purchasing our products.”


Tullock has an extensive background in the toy, sporting goods and computer games arenas. Previously Tullock held executive positions in sales, buying, and consulting for companies such as Kalypso Media USA, The American Game Factory and Trans World Entertainment.


“I'm really enthused to be joining Exxel Outdoors at this exciting time in its next phase of growth,” said Tullock. “I look forward to contributing my experience and relationships in the sporting goods and children’s categories to increase Exxel’s distribution in the eastern states.”


Tullock hails from Pittsfield, MA and earned his MBA at Western New England College. In his spare time John competes in marathons and triathlons, coaches youth hockey and lacrosse, and enjoys taking his family on camping and outdoor excursions.


Exxel Outdoors' brands include Suisse Sport, American Trails, X20 Water Sports, Master Sportsman and Master Sportswoman. It has licensing agreements with Disney Consumer Products, Marvel Entertainment and Sanrio (Hello Kitty).


A significant supplier to Wal-Mart and other mass retailers, Exxel owns and operates the largest sleeping bag factory in the United States, and globally manufacturers sleeping bags, tents, camping kits, airbeds, outdoor chairs, life vests, wet suits, rash guards, and hunting and fishing apparel. Its Eastern Headquarters and factory are located Haleyville, AL and its Western Headquarters are in City of Industry, California.
