Xtep International, a key retail partner for the Saucony and Merrell brands in China and now a 40 percent owner of the Saucony IP in the country, reported its third-quarter sales results for the core Xtep Brand and the Saucony brand in the Chinese domestic market.

The core Xtep Brand posted a mid-single-digit year-over-year growth for the offline and online channels in China, with a discount of ~25 percent for the three months ending September 30. The trend line moderated from the second quarter when sales increased 10 percent year-over-year. The company said channel inventory turnover was “around four months” at quarter-end.

For the Saucony brand, retail sell-through, including the offline and online channels in China, amounted to over 50 percent year-over-year growth for the third quarter ended September 30. This is the first quarter that Xtep reported on the Saucony brand performance in the market.
