China Dongxiang Co., Ltd. reported that its Kappa-branded stores recorded a high-single-digit decrease on a year-over-year basis for the fiscal second quarter ended September 30. Same-store sales for the Kappa-branded stores, which have been in operation since the beginning of the same quarter last year, were down from 10 percent to 20 percent on a year-over-year basis.
For the fiscal first half, the Kappa-branded stores recorded a mid- to high-single-digit decrease on a year-over-year basis for the period ended September 30. Same-store sales for the Kappa-branded stores were mid- to high-single-digit decrease year-over-year.
For the second quarter ended September 30, the company had 1,001 Kappa-branded stores, a net decrease of 11 stores compared to those as at March 31, 2024.
China Dongxiang Co., Ltd. is primarily engaged in designing, developing, marketing, and wholesale branded sportswear in China.
China Dongxiang owns all rights to the Kappa brand in Mainland China and Macau. Since April 2008, the company has owned the Phenix ski brand.
