Bata, the footwear manufacturer since 1894, has appointed Miguel Esquide as chief design officer for Bata, who brings two decades of experience to the role. He is responsible for shaping the brand’s creative direction and strengthening its brand identity.

Esquide’s career highlights include co-founding the luxury brand 1Concept and leading footwear design and strategy at Inditex for Lefties, Zara and Pull&Bear.

As Chief Design Officer for Bata, Miguel Esquide will oversee the Bata brand and its extensions, including Bata RedLabel and Bata Comfit. Based in Padova, Italy, he will lead a team of designers.
