Anta Sports Products, Ltd., the largest shareholder of Arc’teryx, Wilson and Salomon parent Amer Sports and the owner of  retail stores in China for the Anta brand, Fila, Descente, Kolon Sport, and Amer Sports, reported retail sales, in retail value, for the Fila brand increased in the high-single digits year-over-year in the fourth quarter, a sequential positive swing from the low-single-digit decline in the third quarter.

Retail sales for the Fila brand in China reportedly increased in mid-single digits for the 2024 full-year period.

Retail sales for the Anta brand in the fourth quarter of 2024 increased in high-single digits compared to Q4 2023, building on the mid-single-digit growth in the third quarter and remained consistent with the high-single-digit increase for full-year 2024.

All Other Brands, including Descente and Kolon Sport, but excluding Amer Sports brands and any other brands that joined the Group after January 1, 2023, saw fourth-quarter retail sales increase in the 50 percent to 55 percent range versus the prior-year fourth quarter, a trend that added to the 40 percent to 45 percent increase in the full-year 2024 period.

The company said retail sales refer to revenues, inclusive of value-added tax, if any, from sales to consumers transacted in brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce platforms, part of which are owned and operated by the company, and the rest owned and operated by the company’s distributors, franchisees and/or distributors’ franchisees.

Retail sales do not represent the company’s total revenue, and the company considers the same to be a business operational indicator of its various brands.
