Ethos, a mass participation event organization specializing in challenging and unique sporting events, has acquired the Boston Triathlon and the Lobsterman Triathlon.

Mirroring the strong national demand for urban triathlons, the Boston Triathlon doubled in size from 2011 to 2012, with over 900 participants in the 2012 event. Standing alone as the only swim-bike-run race in Boston, the Boston Triathlon will kick off on August 4, 2013, with the Boston skyline providing the perfect backdrop and the scenic South Boston shoreline offering racers a premier metro-triathlon experience. This sprint triathlon offers easy access and parking, closed roads, and a festive post-race atmosphere. Registration is now open and is expected to sell out quickly.

Recognized by Mens Health, Triathlete Magazine, Inside Triathlon, Competitor Magazine, and Fodors Travel as one of the top races in the USA, the Lobsterman Triathlon is a true destination race. Drawing athletes and spectators from 25 states, spectacular Olympic-distance Triathlon & Lobster Bake will take place on September 14, 2013 and is expected once again to draw a sellout crowd. In its 11th year, the Lobsterman Triathlon offers a unique full day endurance festival that appeals to all types of athletes and their families.

Ethos has joined Tri-Maine Productions to partner on two of New Englands premier triathlons. Ethos and Tri-Maine are implementing improvements that will benefit the athletes, sponsors, volunteers, and hosting communities. Participants will notice improvements right away, including an enhanced racer experience, turnkey online registration, and exciting new sponsors. At the event, athletes will be provided with a safe and exciting racing experience at two spectacular race venues, with meticulous attention to detail. Tri-Maine will continue to serve as the Race Director for the Lobsterman Triathlon and will work with Streamline Events to produce the Boston Triathlon.
