Eastern Outdoor Reps Association’s (EORA) board of directors named Terry Wilson as its new southeast regional director.

Wilson comes to EORA with a background in the active outdoor industry, with more than 35 years of experience working in the retail and wholesale sectors, most recently completing a 15-year stint with Columbia Sportswear. During that 15-year period, he was an active member of EORA and served on the board of directors as VP in the Southeast Region.

Wilson understands both the challenges of the specialty retailer and the ever-changing business environment facing both sales reps and vendors. His formative years were spent pursuing outdoor activities that ranged from hiking, camping, backpacking and paddling to skiing and climbing, so it was only natural that he pursued a career in the outdoor industry.

EORA’s new southeast regional director will attend the upcoming EORA show, which will take place February 6-8 in Greenville, SC. The show will feature more than 575 product lines offered by 175 exhibitors. Specialty retail buyers from all 10 of the southeastern states are expected to attend.

EORA is a not-for-profit association that produces regional tradeshows that bring together over 500 sales reps and 2,300 retailers each year in the Eastern U.S. Initially focused on traditional specialty outdoor, EORA has since expanded to encompass a wide array of retail categories, including lifestyle, specialty run, bike, resort, paddle sports and more. EORA was founded in 1979.
