As part of an aggressive expansion drive in the US, Scottish cycle apparel maker Endura has appointed Mark Ashley to the newly created position of national sales manager for the United States.

Mark joins the cycling apparel company from Bianchi, where he was also national sales manager. Mark was previously a regional sales manager for Specialized and prior to that had over 10 years experience as a retail owner/operator with three stores.

“I am very excited by the opportunity presented by the Endura Brand,” says Ashley. “The product range is of outstanding quality and the patient approach that has been adopted to build distribution in the US over the last five years provides an excellent platform to build on.”

According to Jim McFarlane, founding President of Endura, “We have gained enough exposure in the US market to know consumers love the product. We are delighted that Mark shares our belief in the potential for Endura to become a leading technical cycle clothing brand in the US and we will now be investing significant resource to support Mark in growing the US business.”

Elaborating further, McFarlane adds: “We have a tremendous pipeline of new product innovations that have been winning plaudits and awards in Europe and Mark will play a key role in introducing these products to the USA. In addition to offering excellent commercial product we will be supporting our US dealers with a package of improved dealer terms, point-of-sale merchandising support, grass roots marketing activities and a strengthened regional sales support team.”
