Australian footwear brand EMU appointed Dan Singer as vice president of North America. Joining the leadership team within EMU’s North American division, Singer will support the brand’s growing retail presence and revenue growth by leading sales and playing a significant role in finance, product development, sourcing and organizational structure. Based out of Montana, Singer will report directly to North American President Jim Scholle who oversees the stateside headquarters out of Grand Rapids, MI.
“Dan is well-connected in the shoe industry and a proven performer,” said Scholle. “As we expand EMU’s retail footprint for 2015 and beyond, Dan’s expertise will prove invaluable.”
Singer comes to EMU from Icon Shoes, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. At Icon, he managed three brands, overseeing regional sales agencies, opening key accounts and significantly increasing total sales volume. Prior to Icon, Singer held numerous high-level sales positions at footwear companies including ZIGI New York, MBT Footwear, Vida Shoe, Skechers USA and Rockport. He is also the founder of B&L Distribution, a footwear distribution company that has achieved sales of more than $12 million within two years.
