Eastern Mountain appointed Dan Simon as Product Manager for Mens Wearing Gear. His role will be critical to the future assortment of all mens outerwear, apparel and accessories. As well as setting direction for the line of both Eastern Mountain Sports brand and national brand products, he will be responsible for all aspects of bringing the collection to life in stores, catalog and web.
“We are very excited to have Dan join us at Basecamp,” explains Will Manzer, President and CEO of Eastern Mountain Sports. “He brings great experience and proven expertise to the product development table, and will no doubt make an impact upon the next generation of Eastern Mountain Sports product.”
Previously, Simon was Senior Product Line Manager at Spyder Active Sports, Inc. in Boulder, CO, responsible for the product design and development process of multiple product line segments. Additional experience comes from Burton Snowboard Company in Burlington, VT where Simon was the Merchandising Manager who assisted in the product development and international launch of the Analog clothing line.
Simon has a B.S. in Finance from Miami University, Ohio. When not behind the design table or visiting international vendors, he enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and snowboarding.
