Emotion Kayaks has hired paddlesports industry veteran, David D’Auteuil as vice president of sales. D’Auteuil joins Emotion Kayaks from The Coleman Company where he was field sales manager-East for Coleman along with its then newly acquired
Sterns, Hodgman, Mad Dog, SOSPENDERS and Sevylor brands.
Prior to that, he was the director of sales at Confluence Watersports
where he had global responsibility for key accounts, accessories sales
and marketing. D’Auteuil began his paddlesports career as the sales
and customer service manager at Johnson Outdoors.
In this newly appointed position, D’Auteuil will be responsible for the global sales of one of the fastest growing recreational and fishing kayak companies.
“We have been waiting for a long time to bring someone in that can help us grow in a structured, intelligent and professional manner,” said Tom Strauss, president of Emotion Kayaks. “Dave is so tuned in to what we are all about and where we want to go. D'Auteuil will work out of his home office in Nottingham, New Hampshire.
Emotion Kayaks, headquartered in Berks Country, PA, have won Recreational Kayak of the Year in Outside, Paddler and Canoe and Kayak magazines for three consecutive years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
