Sunglass Hut recently agreed to run a 3 month test in 200 locations for the 3-Way Eyewear Retainer. After 4 weeks of analysis, the incremental sales on the 3-Way were so strong they chose to immediately place it in all 2500 locations.
The 400-door Sports Authority retail group, which includes Gart Sports, Oshman's, and Sportmart, recently selected EK Ekcessories as the exclusive supplier for eyewear and sports accessories for all locations. Selection criteria was based on statistical proof of higher performance in product innovation, sell through and profitability.
Eastern Mountain Sports, an 86-store specialty retailer, has experienced growth in their accessory program with the addition of EK's 3-Way, Cat Strap and Bottle Holder Series'.
Sunglass World, an Ohio based 120-door sunglass specialty retailer, saw the potential with the 3-Way retainer and placed it in all locations without testing.
Dave Weiler, Scottsdale, Arizona-based and Oakley owned Iacon stores buyer, said this week, “EK is on fire for us” and literally cannot keep the DC stocked with enough EK products.
EK is the recipient of the 2003 Utah Best of State Award winner for the manufacturing category.
