Eider, a leading maker of technical performance outerwear, is pleased to announce the recent appointments of Barry Galvin, David Russell, E.J.Rearden and Philippe Muller to its U.S. sales team.

Galvin joins Eider representing the Northwest Region. Galvin has an extensive skiing background including time spent on the US Ski team and as a Nor-Am Champ and winner of the GS overall title in 1989. Most recently he has been working as an independent rep for Gordy Boldstad with Volkl and Tecnica.

“Barry has been a fan of Eider but more importantly understands our dealers needs in terms of servicing the accounts,” said Gene Frederick, President of Eider, USA. “This is an important market for Eider and Barry’s effort will be great for the growth of the brand in this region,” said Frederick.

David Russell has been reassigned to New England after working for two seasons in the New York Metro area on behalf of Eider. Russell is very excited about his new position, as his roots are in New England, and has a clear understanding of the New England market.

E.J. Rearden is the newly appointed rep for the Mid Atlantic States, replacing Russell. E.J. has been in the Snowsports Industry his entire career, most recently working with Lange/Dynastar and Select Design. Rearden’s experience with both hard goods and clothing ideally positions him to continue the growth of Eider brand in this market.

Philippe Muller is currently the Eider Rep for the Rocky Mountain range and is the newly appointed Western Sales Manager for Eider. Philippe joins the Eider USA Team with over 10 years experience as sales rep in Switzerland, as well as being a former B Team member with the Swiss Team. Currently he resides in New Mexico and has been with Eider USA for the past two seasons. Muller’s responsibilities will be to help develop the markets in the West, as well as working with the Eider USA Team, headed by Gordy Peifer.

“Eider is a great technical brand suitable for a diverse group of athletes and consumers. To be successful we need to have great athletes along with a sales team possessing as strong a work ethic and a cohesive understanding of the markets. These new appointments are a key step in solidifying our commitment to our retail partners,” said Frederick.
